History and Experience – Eric has been a professional photographer for more than 25 years. His love for photography began in high school in Oklahoma City and the first camera he used was a classic old Nikkormat, part of the Nikon family. Those days, Eric was shooting a lot and spending time in the darkroom printing black and white prints. One of the first assignments he can remember (you always remember your first, right?) was taking pictures of US Marine recruits at Parris Island in South Carolina, escorted by his father who lived close by.
From there, Eric improved his skills as a professional photographer while attending the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and on to the University of Oklahoma. Events, weddings and portraits helped put Eric through school and really launched his career in professional photography.
Photography jobs and special photography assignments in Colorado, California and New York came next, before settling in Houston, Texas.
Photography Style - A member of the Professional Photographer’s of America, Eric has worked with medium format film cameras for many years and most recently has successfully transitioned into to the age of digital photography.
He has not sold off the film cameras yet, so he can still work in both film and digital photography. His photography style can best be described as warm, straight-forward, easy-going, traditional and sincere along with a splash of photojournalism to suit your every photography need.
